Why Fantestimonial is not on Facebook

We have quit…
Facebook.

I, Francis, Founder of Fantestimonial, have made no secret that I have not been a fan of Facebook and its practices. Either in its, almost movie villian diabolical, search for more money with no conscience, or its lack of any semblance of morality.

So as of 1 May 2026, Fantestimonial will be leaving Facebook.

This is not a decision that has come from no where, and we have been contemplating an exit from Facebook for a while now. The straw that broke the camels back is the report that Facebook is tracking its own staff to train its AI to replace the staff who is training the AI.

For a highly profitable business, the rationale of reducing staff to pay for some recent investments (metaverse flop, AI **cough cough**), it shows how little they value their human capital.

Fantestimonial that promotes business culture through Brand Culture stories and human stories, what Facebook is doing does not fit with our culture, and we cannot support it.

As such, we will remove ourselves from that platform as soon as practicable.
