Here is where we get into out-of-box thinking about how production can be managed, which results in better cost-management and hence affordability.

While we talk about the 6 Steps for success in video, each of these steps are like a Menu in a restaurant: It’s best to take the 6 course meal, but we understand that it may not be needed, or cost-effective.

So like a menu, you can pick what is needed, or work through these steps in stages, or just find better ways to achieve similar results at a better cost point.

For example, instead of a full crew to film an interview, we can film the interview online, or we can teach you how to film it yourself, and you can get the footage, thus saving a heap on hiring a video team out on set.

There are things that you can do, and things you probably shouldn’t. Just as we can re-wire a light switch, it will be much better to get a trained electrician to do the job to ensure that you don’t get electrocuted, and it doesn’t cause a fire.

We are video production and marketing experts, and we can advice you on the best way to do things. And the more you do yourselves, the lower the cost of production on our end, which means savings for you.

The other way to make affordable videos is to match the expertise and equipment to the job at hand.

You may not need a $2000 a day DOP for your filming, and you may not need the most advanced cameras to do it either. By matching the needs to the expertise, we can manage the cost for you.

The final way to manage cost is to manage deliverables. You may not need all your videos at once, and it can be delivered over time. However, it is much better to pack as much into a shoot day as possible.

So by breaking up the deliverables across time, you will only pay for the parts you need when you need it. Of course there is a higher up front cost, but once the sunk cost of production is done, the post production can be managed across time.
